A the start of every round, roles are dealt privately - a full screen reveal only you can see. Most players draw Subject. Exactly one draws Scientist. From that moment on, you're playing a completely different game than the people around you, and neither of you can be sure who's who.

How Roles Are Assigned Roles are randomized at the start of every round and shown only to you in a private reveal - Subjects see a neutral confirmation, the Scientist sees a very different one. Nobody else in the lobby knows what you drew unless you tell them, and there's rarely a good reason to.
Survivor Role

The Subject

Most of the lobby draws Subject. Your job is simple to describe and hard to do: find a way out, and make it there alive. You don't know who the Scientist is - so every decision about who to trust, who to follow, and who to leave behind carries real weight.

What You Can Do

  • Explore the facility and search for exits and tools
  • Complete objectives that unlock ways out
  • Team up with other Subjects - or work alone if you trust no one
  • Manage stamina while running, hiding, and searching
  • Customize your look between rounds with unlockable skins

Playstyle

  • Reactive and observational - watch behavior, not just the map
  • Cooperative by default, but trust is never guaranteed
  • Rewards map knowledge and calm decision-making under pressure
Win Condition Reach an exit before the round timer runs out - and before the Scientist reaches you first.
Hunter Role

The Scientist

Exactly one player per round is secretly the Scientist. They have one job. To slow the group down, capture as many subjects as possible, and make sure the exits stay closed.

What You Can Do

  • Sabotage objectives and progress without drawing attention
  • Isolate Subjects who wander off from the group.
  • Track who's close to finishing objectives - and who's close to an exit

Playstyle

  • Deceptive and patient - the best rounds don't reveal you until it's too late
  • Rewards misdirection over brute force
  • One mistake in front of the wrong person can end your round early
Win Condition Prevent enough Subjects from escaping before the round timer runs out.
